Decorate Your Life With Us!

Palestine is a charming East Texas town that boasts more than 1,800 historic sites, including the Main Street District.  Home to the Texas State Railroad and Dogwood Trails, Palestine is graced with stately homes, gorgeous scenic drives and a Texas friendly welcome that offers a true Southern experience.

Palestine has more buildings in the National Register of Historic Places than any Texas city except Galveston. A few gems include Eilenberger’s Bakery, known as the oldest bakery in Texas, and the historic Texas Theatre, which hosts a variety of productions yearly.

The Palestine Community Forest features scenic drives through more than 700 acres of hardwood trees. Davey Dogwood Park is especially popular during the annual Texas Dogwood Trails Festival from late March to early April… (and don’t miss the fall foliage in November).  Other annual events include the The Taste of New Orleans: Mardi Gras Celebration in February, 1836 Chuckwagon Races in April, Hot Pepper Festival in October and The Polar Express™ Train Ride in November and December.

We invite you to visit Palestine and experience our beautiful architecture, attractions, exciting events, unique shopping and local flavor – named of the top Travel Destinations in Texas.

Seeing the dogwood blooms in Palestine was #56 in Texas Monthly's article "The Bucket List: 63 Things All Texans Should Do Before They Die".
